Dive Diary Dive News - The Koh Tao IDC Group Monday, November 03, 2008 "The PADI 5-Star Career Development Centre (CDC) is awarded to PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Centres (IDC) that dedicate their businesses to professional development beyond regular instructor training. These businesses offer vocational oriented continuing education training to prepare individuals for dive industry careers and provide job placement services within the dive industry. PADI Members and the dive industry at large benefit from the PADI 5-Star Career Development Centres’ commitment to professional development and excellence, including their unique ability to provide qualified candidates to fill industry employment needs" (from PADI ASIA PACIFIC UPDATE BULLETIN, FOURTH QUARTER 2008) Of the more than 220 PADI Dive Centres in Thailand, only eight have achieved the CDC rating.
